Free from Ebay, Ebay Desktop offers a refreshing alternative to using ebay through your browser. A downloadable programme, designed to sit on your desktop and keep your eBay buying activity just fingertips away, it has the added advantage of being able to minimise itself to the system tray if required. Version 1 seems mainly aimed at buyers, with little value included for eBay sellers at this stage. However, eBay have little reason to include sellers option as presumably this would create more competition for their existing products such as Selling Manager Pro.
Refreshing, easy to use and a sharp contrast to using eBay though the web, eBay desktop first starts with video introductry running you though the various options and a short tour of the product. Initially you have to login with your eBay username and password and then it imports your information such as favourite searches, sellers, messages and your watch list.

Ebay Desktop works on the majority of eBay sites, although you may want to set it to your local version of eBay via the settings menu. One of the best features I found is it allows you to set yourself reminders before auctions end, of either 1 hour, 30 minutes or 10 minutes for a last minute snipe.
Only version 1 is currently released so they’re are some known issues, however these should hopefully be ironed out soon. However, from what I’ve seen so far it’s found a permanent icon on my desktop. You can download eBay desktop & find out more information from: http://dogpuss.com/ebaydesktop

Adam Ginsberg has a new tagline on his site “America’s “go-to” guy for how to make BIG money on the Internet and Ebay “, however he continues to attract controversy judging from the Dogpuss comments page. Those who have attended his recent events in the UK and Los Angeles have nothing but praise for Adam. Unfortunately many Dogpuss readers are quick to remind us of his history selling billiards table and those unlucky customers that were left out of pocket.
Will Adam ever regain credibility to the eBay masses? Recently he has launched several additional sites including http://www.promoteadam.com/ (affiliate program for Adam), http://www.adamginsbergreviews.com/ (featuring testimonials for Adam), & http://adamginsbergsupport.com/ (help desk for Adam).
I can only hope that the introductions of these domains mean Adam is ready to pick up his act & offer support where needed.
Elsewhere EBay Superhero, Lee McIntyre has had an amazing first year earning critical acclaim with his refreshing honest approach to internet marketing and marketing on eBay. Always being seen to be keen to offer excellent and free information to his members, this has gone down well and worked wonders for Lee.
Throughout the year Lee has launched several ebooks including Auction Profit Unleashed and now impressible offers his own private mentoring group at StandingStartProfits.com for under $20 a month. Not many marketers are in a position to offer mentoring so early in their career. Dogpuss will be reviewing StandingStartProfits early next month.
Best Product of the year, with out a doubt goes to Paul AKA Underground who reveals amazing ebay tactics in Underground Auction Blueprint. As I wrote in an earlier review this ebook contains “100% hardcore, cunning and direct methods to drive competitors out of the market, profit massively from the latest eBay selling trends, get viral marketing by taking advantage of wacky auctions & even using eBay to collect and sell leads”
Now, it’s your turn - What’s your best eBay product of the year? Who’s impressed you the most over the last twelve months. As usual your comments are welcome. Have a great new year.

Jim Cockrum, best known for his ebook “Silent Sales Machine” which is a must read for anyone looking to make money online, launched MySilentTeam earlier this year. MySilentTeam advertises itself as a “private, members-only resource for those serious about making money on eBay or the Internet.” Currently offering a trial plan for just $5, giving 5 days of access, it was too good an opportunity to pass up!
It came as a pleasant surprise that membership is approved instantly after payment, with no signs of the usual jumping through hoops of having to opt into to a mailing list and confirm your subscription before you are granted access to the site. This comes across as a refreshing change compared to most other membership sites that have elaborate signup procedures. Disappointingly though, there is no option to pay via Paypal, which seems a little strange considering that most users looking to get the most out of eBay will also have a paypal account ready and waiting.
Within the membership area you may be a little bedazzled by the options. A crowded front page gives you little indication of where to start, plus even after you’ve paid and are a member, options still appear encouraging you to join the site. Surely these can be turned off within the private members area, unless MySilentTeam is running on the wrong platform. I also found the text far too small to focus, especially considering it’s mostly text with only a few images to break up the page. Fortunately there is an option to increase the text size to eliminate this problem.
The content in itself is good, with exclusive articles by expert contributors, audio interviews and a selection of videos that are well worth watching. Expert contributors such as Avril Harper, John Thornhill and Sandy Hall regularly participate in the forum answering questions on their specific expert niches.
However, the Bonus Pool is where MySilentTeam really excels. With Jim having been able to network with other marketers, there are some excellent products offered as bonuses. These are not available to those on the $5 trial plan, but the products include Robert Frechette’s ebook (now only available exclusively though MST), access to John Thornhill’s Mentorship Monthly & Avril Harper’s eBooks, amongst others. Personally for me, this is where the value of MySilentTeam is - some of these eBooks or products cost between $10 - $27 each, so to get access to these free of cost, is tremendous value.
I do like Jim Cockrum, he is a great author and knows eBay inside out. Sadly, without the bonuses available, the full value of the site remains untapped in the trial membership. Its worth joining the 5-day trial to see what you make of the site, if you decide its for you and join with full membership, there is little doubt you’ll get enough value out of the site with its full Bonus Pool. Full details of MySilentTeam are available here.

Congratulations! If you’re reading this review, you’ve done 50% of the “work” required by you to change your life forever by making money online on eBay. Purchase the book, follow the simple, yet powerful strategies explained in clear steps to build a stable income stream for yourself.
Underground Auction Blueprint takes off with a bang, by containing a warning to reveal never-before-told underground strategies that gives you an undeniable advantage over everyone else. Although it is now a cliche statement that a lot of authors claim to sell their ebooks, the author of this book goes through with the promise and delivers the goods by giving step by step instructions for the perfect blueprint to succeed in eBay.
There are no tricks or loopholes listed. These are 100% hardcore, cunning and direct methods to drive competitors out of the market, profit massively from the latest eBay selling trends, get viral marketing by taking advantage of wacky auctions & even using eBay to collect and sell leads. I would not want to compete with any seller who has their hands on a copy of this eBook. Containing brand new secret tactics, all tried and tested by the author in no time flat you’ll be getting more out of eBay than ever before.
One downside to the book though, is that it assumes that you are not new to eBay and know your way around it. This is not one of those beginner books that gives you pages and pages of instructions on how to list an auction on eBay and other basic things that you can learn from eBay’s help section anyway - this is a book that will teach you how to fine-tune your listings in such a way that your sales improve dramatically.
After reading through this ebook, and learning some of the techniques listed you’ll see how accurate the initial warning is. By following the steps listed you’ll know some killer tricks to monstrously profit from eBay where other sellers dare to tread. Currently priced at $97 and worth every penny Dogpuss thoroughly recommends Underground Auction Blueprint above any other product on the market.

Well, it was only yesterday that I wrote about Auction Selling 101 but today (Sunday 12th August) I received notification of the first live training event. As the virtual classroom software is number one on the list of Auction Selling “secret weapons” I felt it was only right that it deserved some attention.
The software to run the live training events (yes, it’s a standalone application) is downloaded from within the membership area of the site. It’s pretty sophistically but at the same time simple to use, allowing you to see the Mr Black & Mr Blue though a web cam, as well as allowing those participating within the conference to join in using their pc microphone or chat by using the keyboard.
The first session lasted for 1hour and 45 minutes, with a whole range of subjects discussed. The Auction Selling hosts were pretty flexible about the direction the session was heading & the subjects discussed. The quality of the audio seemed to be a small issue during the session, but something the team were made aware of so it should be tackled and improved shortly.
During this first session we also gained a further insight into the eBay accounts of Mr Black & Mr Blue, as well as some specific product details including profit margins. One example shown, were some cycling shorts which were being sold at $20, making a profit of $10 each sale. Questions from members took up a large part of the session, with nothing being avoided.
Both hosts, admitted they were new at using the software & that things would improve. However the small audio problem, would be no disadvantage when being compared to the knowledge, experience and insight being picked up from this lesson.
I immensely look forward to the second virtual classroom session from Auction Selling 101 to see what gems we pick up next time. If you join or are already a member, I’ll see you online at the next session. With more sessions already being planned hopefully it won’t be too long before we get to do it again. More details at our previous post below or at the Auction Selling 101 website.

Ebay membership sites are becoming ten a penny these days. Launched on the 31st July is the latest, AuctionSelling101 by Mr Black and Mr Blue, so what makes this one different. And more importantly who are Mr Black and Mr Blue.
Well, Mr Black is a successful eBay powerseller and internet marketer having worked alongside Jason James of the Auction Resource Network. I’ve known of Mr Black for a while, let’s call him Chris & he’s defiantly knows he’s eBay stuff
Mr Blue is also an eBay powerseller, an eBay registered trading assistant, a certified eBay education specialist and a certified eBay motors specialist. Between them they have feedback of above 16,000.
Auction Selling 101 contains 27 camtasia videos ranging from the basic “Registering on eBay” to more advanced Using “Guides & Videos”. The whole range of videos are easy to follow and contains more than enough information to transform those who have never used eBay before to confident users who will be buying and selling with ease.

Along with these Auction Selling 101 offers an audio library of interviews with eBay experts, authors and powersellers - presumably these will be updated on a monthly basis as new material is made available. As with most membership sites a members only forum is available upon signing in.
There is one aspect of Auction Selling 101 that just makes the site jump out above the others. Auction Selling 101 offers live training sessions though it’s virtual classroom software. Pictured below this allows all members to have a massive advantage - especially for those who prefer to learn by watching others. It also allows you to participate within the conference yourself by speaking or sending private messages.

It’s the live training function that Auction Selling 101 uses that now raises the game for other membership sites & pushes AS to the top in terms of quality and value for money. Check out the site for more details.

DropShippingWholesalers.com is a membership site offering the latest dropshipping and wholesaling information. Members get access to a full database of suppliers, as well as a 10 day eCourse, & an exclusive members forum. The one off membership fee of $47 offers lifetime access to the site.
Information listed within the suppliers is divided into categories, such as Adult, Books, Electronics, and specialist categories such as UK Dropshippers and Chinese Wholesalers so it is easy to navigate.
Members also get a chance to upgrade their membership to platinum for an additional fee, which gives you your own fully stocked turnkey website. This will allow you to dropship products from your own website direct to your customers.
While the supplier information may be worthwhile (if put to good use), the rest of the site suffers and feels like it’s being plastered with google adsense and affiliate ads - even containing affiliate ads for SaleHoo who I would regard as being a competing site.
This really lets the presentation and the professionalism of the site down, as well as the occasional 404 error that displays this adds to the sites weakened credibility. While some members may have had success with the site we’d be unable to recommend it to our readers.

From an overworked school teacher, Lee McIntyre presents Auction Profits Unleashed. In his own newsletter, Lee admits when he first started selling on eBay he was a flop, offering the same $1 ebooks as other sellers and struggling to make anything. “I’m a full time school teacher who has battled for the past year to make money online. There have been some incredible highs and also some incredible lows. But despite working long and stressful hours at school, I’ve still managed to create several automated income streams”.
These days things appear to be very different. Every eBay marketer, forum and newsletter is shouting out the name Lee McIntyre and critically acclaiming his new ebook - Auction Profit Unleashed.
Using eBay to generate traffic to your own sites is not a new concept, it’s been discussed many times - however rarely is it explained with such clarity and simplicity as this. Spread over 11 chapters (64 pages) everything is broken down and illustrated with screenshots where necessary. For a cost of $47 this isn’t as much as an ebook but a detailed blueprint to getting the most out of eBay, explaining everything from creating and researching your product to putting an automatic delivery method into place.
Does his system work? It certainly seems to, in a recent interview when Lee was asked if there was one change he could make to eBay he joked “For selfish reasons I would raise the fees! Because I make so much money at the backend I could still profit even if the fees were trebled, and most of my competitors could not“. While many eBay sellers complain about the rising eBay fees, Lee McIntyre has made the most of the situation and ensured his business is not dependable on eBay.
Previously this ebook was only available if you subscribed to an email list of most eBay marketers, however from today it is available to everyone though www.auctionprofitsunleashed.com. Overall, if your already offering digital products on eBay or considering following this route then this product is highly recommended.

Mentorship Monthly is a re-occurring product from Planet SMS, also known as eBay guru John Thornhill. For $10 a month, John claims to be able to take your business and catapult it to the next level, with the reassurance of a 56 day guarantee and the ability to cancel at any time without obligations
There is no huge list of ebooks and bonuses that are used to bribe you into signing up, the site seems pretty forward about what your getting in exchange. Membership consists of a digital newsletter, a related audio or video presentation, personal assistance from John and the chance to question him about any e-commerce or eBay questions. Of course content is updated monthly.
Having saw the contents of the first edition, I can say the nine page pdf newsletter is easy to read, contains good content, and suitable for all irrelevant of your experience. The camtasia video, which is just short of ten minutes gives us step by step instructions to recreate some of the success John is having.
John backs up his points & methods by showing us live examples of where he’s using these methods himself (on his own websites) and appears to be open about the results they provide. The results of the video contained within the July edition have made additional sales of $4000 over two months for John.
The fact that there is limited information contained within the membership area, is a good thing. It will allow members to concentrate and focus on putting these steps into action rather than being lost of a minefield of information. If future editions prove to be as good as the July edition I have no doubt that applying these methods will lead to continuous improvement for your business.
